Off the beat and track, Beng Mealea temple provides a once in lifetime opportunity to savour an Angkor temple as it has lain for eons of time; overtaken by jungle, visited only by birds, and local children playing games in the ruins.

The jungle temple sits with its walls and towers burst apart with trees and creepers crawling all over like a giant spider. While a wooden walkway guides visitors round the tumble-down structure, more able explorers can clamber through rubble-filled corridors and make their own discoveries in the ruins.

We shall enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant where you can taste local or western food.

Situated a few kilometers out of town the Roluos group of temples are known as one of the earliest of the Khmer Capital cities, dating back to ninth century. There are 3 predominate ones. These  temples known as Hariharlaya; were dedicated to the Hindu gods Shiva and Vishnu. These are highly significant Pre-Angkorian Temples.
